This Side Up keeps your photos and records on your phone. There's no account and no server behind the app — nothing to sign in to, and nothing for us to hold.
The short version. We never receive your photos, the names you type in, tracking numbers, or anything else you enter. It all lives on your device, inside the app, and it only leaves when you export or share it.
If you turn on photo library access, the app also saves copies to an album for each record. Those albums are yours. We never see them.
When you export a record, your phone's own share screen takes over. Where the file goes from there — email, messages, a cloud drive — is up to you, and from that point the receiving app's privacy policy takes over.
Only what a subscription requires. Purchases run through the App Store or Google Play, and we use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active. RevenueCat receives:
We never send your name, email address, or advertising identifier (IDFA), and the app never asks for them. The random ID isn't connected to your identity, and we can't use it to look you up. Apple and Google handle the payment. We never see your card.
Delete a record in the app and its photos go with it. Delete the app and everything it stored on your phone goes with it. Because we never had a copy, there's nothing for us to delete on our end.

This Side Up is a tool for people who ship things they sell. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Privacy laws in some places — including the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California — give you the right to see, correct, or delete personal information a company holds about you. Ours is a short answer: apart from the anonymous purchase data described above, we hold nothing about you. There's no name, no email, and no profile to hand over or erase. If you want that purchase data deleted, write to us and we'll ask RevenueCat to remove it.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change means we start receiving something we didn't receive before, we'll say so in the app before it takes effect.
